This project involved the interior architectural renovation and stylistic redesign of a boutique hotel in Sultanahmet, Istanbul, tailored to contemporary sensibilities. Through strategic spatial and structural interventions, high-utility and comfort-driven zones were carved out of minimal footprints.
Complex structural, environmental, and service-related challenges were systematically resolved. With a focus on guest experience and perception, the design aimed for a warm, intimate, and airy atmosphere. The material palette features the organic warmth of rift-cut walnut, complemented by beige-grey monochrome tones across varying planes and textures, all illuminated by soft daylight-spectrum lighting.

Acknowledging that the hotel's clientele consists exclusively of international guests visiting to discover the city, the iconic silhouette of Istanbul was integrated as the central theme of the room decor. This design choice serves to reinforce the guests' sense of place and sustain their excitement throughout their stay. By utilizing the city's symbolic skyline as a primary visual element, the rooms offer a continuous narrative connection to the historic surroundings, ensuring the destination remains at the forefront of the spatial experience.
